Valdesquí is another of the stations most frequented by the people of Madrid and closest to the capital. 1. HEIGHTS AND TRACKS OF VALDESQUÍ
We will start by talking about its bounds, the lower one is 1.860 meters and the upper one of 2280. In total there are 27 skiable slopes among which we find three red slopes, fifteen blue for skiers with a more average level and nine green for those who are beginning to ski. 3. THE BEST SERVICES AT VALDESQUÍ
The facilities offered by Valdesquí are very varied and have all the elements you need in a ski resort. First of all, the central building next to the Bar 1800 where you will go to buy your ski passes and where you will also find the public and adapted toilets. Important! In this building is the first aid area in case you have any skiing injury.
As for places to take a break from skiing and eat something, the main cafeteria is Bar 1800 located next to the car park. It offers both fast food and a terrace where you can sunbathe accompanied by good music. There is no better plan!

Of course, we cannot forget the equipment rental area . You can select everything you need for skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing. The advantage that Valdesquí gives its clients to encourage sports among the little ones is that children up to 6 years of age have full ski equipment free with the day pass.
Finally, it also has a small repair shop with the most modern machinery to make your skis or snowboards perfect. The lockers are located on the second floor of the material rental building where you can store your belongings.
4. TRACK IN HONOR OF FRANCISCO FERNÁNDEZ OCHOA
We cannot forget the training and competition slope Francisco Fernández Ochoa dedicated to skiers. Valdesquí offers you the opportunity that you can rent it to train and whose space is 857 meters long and has a drop of 250 meters.
5. SHOES EXCURSIONS IN VALDESQUÍ
The excursions in snowshoes, consists of a unique route since it will allow you to see many animals that live. The duration of the excursion or its difficulty depends on the level of the group . The route is not entirely simple, so it is not recommended for less than eight years.
6. THE COURSE “DISCOVERING THE NATIONAL PARK”
On the other hand, another of the interesting activities offered by Valdesquí is the course “Discovering the National Park”. This course consists of combining skiing with the discovery of the landscape that surrounds you. 7. HOW TO GET TO VALDESQUÍ?
You can get there with the regional buses, line 691 which leaves from the Moncloa interchange in Madrid. This same line connects with the ports of Navacerrada and Cotos. Another option is to take the train to the Cotos station, which belongs to the C-9 suburban line of Madrid and is located 2.7 km from Valdesquí.
8. ACCOMMODATION IN VALDESQUI

On the way back from Valdesquí you can make a stop in Cercedilla and Navacerrada two towns that will leave you speechless. On the Segovian side we can highlight the Royal site of the Farm and the incredible pine forests of Balsaín. Of course, a stop to see the brutal aqueduct of Segovia will never hurt.
Finally, to the northwest in the Lozoya Valley is the monastery of El Paular where a community of Benedictine monks still lives and where the Virgin of Montserrat is found.
